What Tarot at Dusk is
This is a quiet room with a deck of cards in it. There is a daily card, a straight yes-or-no draw, and a full three-card reading, all free, no account, no email asked, no ten-dollar unlock waiting behind the third card. The deck is our own: 78 cards illustrated for this site in the symbol language of the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition, so everything you have ever read about tarot still applies here, it just looks like evening.
What we think tarot is for
We do not believe a shuffled deck knows your future, and we write every page on this site accordingly. What the cards are genuinely good at is older and more useful than fortune-telling: they hand you images strong enough to say things you were not saying to yourself. A person who draws the Tower and feels dread did not learn their future from the card. They learned what they already believed, and that is worth knowing. Used this way, a reading is twenty minutes of honest thinking with better furniture.
How to use the site
If you are new, draw the daily card each morning for a week and read its meaning page slowly. When a real question shows up, take it to the yes-or-no draw if it is small and sharp, or lay the full spread if it has a past. The card meanings library covers all 78 cards, upright and reversed, written one by one in the same voice you are reading now.
